Incredible for a game made in 48 hours! Went in with unknown expectations and was still floored by it! Came looking for inspiration for the Global Games Jam this coming weekend, and definitely found it!
You get halfway through and start to understand like, oh yeah, it's kinda fucked up that I keep sacrificing and enslaving people just so my numbers can go up just to unlock new levels despite no promise of reward. On the grand scale these aren't people, just numbers- statistics to make better.
and then you get to the end and you truly understand the message: "mmmmm boba"
Downloaded this as soon as I got the email notification about its release and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Yet another game that is genuinely enjoyable and has the ability to mess with your mind.
I got to a point where I seemingly wasn't anything I could do, had no idea if that was the end or if I was supposed to wait for something or if the game was bugged out.
i believe i had the same issue as you - was it just the window with the spheres floating up towards the galaxy? mines been sitting there for a while, it seems like a bug
I replayed it, I think maybe if you don't complete every single upgrade prior to hitting the final thing it doesn't cue the ending. I did every upgrade on every tab this time and it ended.
short n sweet just like a cup of bubble tea, managing to fit both an unexpected surprise and a satisfying "ohhhh that's why..." moment into its short runtime. mildly existentially dreadful and overall a very clever interpretation of the theme!
Haha, what a great entry. Really enjoyed playing through it. Very surprising how the game progressed. Can't believe you made this in 48 hours. Well done!

I was not disappointed.
why there is no mac version?
Hmmmm... expanding scale of what's going on and cool metatextual stuff to divide that scale. Oh, same guy who made Inscryption!
loved it. Very good ending.
