Such a fun game! I love the sense of humor!

This feels like a game that could go on for hours, with new characters on the bench and new mechanics. I played for maybe a hour (Booth was hard for me, haha) and I already want more! The sense of humor had me giggling throughout and the gameplay was a great mix of logic and luck. Can't wait to try your other games!

very funny and unique game

This game was so much fun! If you like a short strategy/puzzle like game I definitely recommend!

Cool!

I would honestly love it if you made a longer version of this game, I would definitely buy it. The concept from the start is fantastic (and what a good play on the 'summoning' theme too I might add) but each little new mechanic makes it even better!

I wish the mouse wasn't forced to be confined to the window, and I wish the window could be resized. But this was a jam game so I 100% can understand and overlook those little annoyances. I also probably could change that on my own if I wasn't afraid to go poking into the files.

I keep coming back to play this game every so often. Such a clever idea!

Nice game! But too short, I'd like it to grow up into the really good rogue like game, with random bosses, unlocking different people, etc.

can you make it so that UI elements don't get cut off at lower aspect ratios than 16:9

Will this ever get a Apple version? I want to play, but don't have access to a PC.

the game is so balanced around wanting a guilty verdict that the last case is too easy

more, MORE!

(+2)

fun game, you should release a full version

Genuinely such a fun little puzzle game. Great job on this!

(+1)

This was such a fun an endearing game! Will we ever get more cases in the future?

(+2)

I got 5 innocent votes on one twin using a sheriff and a jockey

(+4)

11 out of 7 jurors say i'm innocent

(+3)

The Unique Concept of the game is great, and the puzzle-like gameplay is really fun!

My Only Gripe would be that the game is too short with 4 levels, and a more detailed explanation on what the Defendant's Special Ability would be good.

Cute art style

10 out of 7 people agree I'm innocent.

Weak

27 in total

Twins, twins, sheriff, twins, sheriff, jockey, jockey

(ik the total isn't listed on the screen but my laggy ass laptop was too slow to get a shot of it)

In all seriousness though, this is such an impressive game, especially given the 48 hour creation period. You should be proud of yourself, Daniel Mullins.

that lineup can go father by placing the sheriff before the jockey, giving you 12

don't remember downloading it, but nice game

great game & a fun mechanic!

the game is zoomed in for me, though looking @ the comments I appear to be the only one having this problem I don’t see a way to change the resolution or anything of the like anywhere, but I saw the game in a video so I knew how to play

A super interesting concept from someone who has made my absolute favorite indie horror games. Check this one out for sure!

This was mad fun! I really dig the concept and the graphics/art style is great! It made me long for more levels and more difficulty as the levels progressed. All in all this is a great 10/15 min experience!

I love this game!!! The effects are all really nice, and I like the gameplay :) great work!!

Really great game! Enjoyed the strategy, the sound effects, the animation, the whole thing. Thanks for sharing!

Is there any way we could help you developing a more complete version of this game? It's really amazing, I really love it! I wish it lasted longer! Keep up the good work

another auto-battler lord save me from my vices (can’t wait to give it a try!)

[O
[ITA] Gioco incredibile, la mente di Daniel Mullins partorisce sempre cose che sembrano apparentemente semplici, ma che in realtà sono molto elaborate!

ireland mentioned 10/10 game

Very fun game. And i won the last trial with 14 innocent votes.

Really cool idea with a great art style. However, I wish the levels were a bit more challenging and required more strategic thinking about jury selection and hiring choices. Right now, there's no real incentive to hire anyone beyond the same three or four characters each time. Plus, since you don’t keep the money between trials, there's no reason not to blow through your funds, especially in the later trials. The Aristocrat never really becomes a good investment either, because by the time you recoup the money spent on hiring them, you’re usually on the final trial.

(1 edit) (+2)

I disagree about the Aristocrat, I find it to be an excellent pick. Taken in the first round it nets you $2 profit, second round $1 profit, third round free, and in 4th round it's effectively a $1 purchase. However the real key that makes it worth it is that it's a useful target for interaction with other characters. Not only can it be a target for "flip to guilty" it can soak up a "flip to innocent", it can set up a contrarian, it can be targeted with "repeat that effect", and more. There's great utility in a "free" character to shuffle around.

Aside from that, I game the game is cool and way too short. I've won trials ending with $18 dollars in profit, or even 17(!) innocent votes on the final round (two aristocrat, two twins, two sheriff, a jockey, with aristocrats fueling quite a few store refresh), but the game runs hollow quickly because no progress carries over from trial to trial. Tons of potential to expand the game there.

(1 edit)

Super fun and very polished! Loved the sounds and style! Unpopular opinion but I liked the fact that the last level was easier, it felt as if you had already built the ways as a dark prosecutor to manipulate the result easily, like there was no chance to lose your trial from the start.

good to have some irish representation in games
