This was a really fun and unique auto battler! There was definitely strategy involved with how you select jurors for each trial. The ending did throw me for a loop with how it switched the gameplay around. Overall. I had fun with this. Not sure if this will get expanded upon in the future. If so, I'll be playing!
My game testing skills came back into use: For anyone having difficulty against Booth, just go to Pre-Trials with -*zero*- jurors. He can't shoot anyone if no one is on the stand! Then just hire all you need at the very end!
Yes.. it is a terrible cheat. I should say JWB should shoot you if you have no one else on the stand he can aim for!
This does not work so well vs the 3rd round though.
This was great. Really impressive production quality, art-wise at least! I bet with some more time, you could do some really nice on-theme SFX.
Puzzle-wise, it was hard... well, Booth was hard and M was next to impossible. I realized to solve M I **really** needed the Dictator to achieve 5 guilties.
You can tell the balance is off by the end because the last trial is a cakewalk -- it's way easier to get Innocent votes than Guilty. I think the cards lean too heavily towards on Innocent, so that's why M's trial is really hard (and since you can only have 4 jurors, you need a special one).
I think this could easily be spun into a mobile game that's pretty addicting. I stuck all the way through because I could see how to solve it. It did feel sometimes like it was a "luck of the draw" and that it's basically impossible to win unless you get lucky on your rolls (I purchased a new turn 5 times for M's trial before finally getting the Dictator).
I really enjoyed this game! It was kinda wholesome at times.
I liked the humour and especially the way some of the characters sound (especially the dog judge(hes goated frfr))
I decided to play it for a video and had loads of fun!
ngl thought the game was basically impossible at first but when I explored using other characters rather then just the same ones over and over, it got easier. I like how simple the game is, but there's also a hint of strategy which is sick :)
you can watch me play if u want (im new to YouTube so my commentary isn't good
Polish is insane, really on another level! I loved the setup and the mechanics, as well as the humor with stage 3, both narratively and visually. I am not sure what it was, but i juried stage three 4 times and never had an opening to solve it. On the 5th i got cards with which it felt trivial (dictator). Not sure if that was intentional. I assumed the idea was to block out the bench quickly so you'd not get a third horse, but the cards did not allow it until my 5th run.
In any case a lovely game, congrats! Would be a game that made a jam team proud, crazy for one person in 48 hours.
way too easy, though kinda funny and pretty enjoyable. overall it just refreshing to have a daniel Mullins game that isn't "pony island" or "pony island 2, the hex" or "pony island 3: the gathering", or "pony island 4: pony island 2"
The game is incredibly fun, i wouldn't mind an "extended" version with more mechanics and things to do... or twists. You know, like Inscryption did. Anyway, one of the most fun experiences i had in a while
Yes, that was what I was saying. This is incredible as a game jam game, but a further developed and fuller game (of course with some variations on the road to not make it repetitive), would also be nice
This game is super addicting and could be the new Inscryption! Please develop it further, I would love to play a more extended version with an intriguing story and different situation and characters!
Hey, super nice game! I definitively enjoyed playing it (but poor pigeon)
Note: it didn’t felt like an auto-battler, but it was fun.
Note2: It’s also missing the ‘end’ word in the end, and I don’t think it was done on purpose.
Really well polished game and fun to play, impressive for a 48h game jam game. Super well done!
i would DEFINITELY recommend the game, it's very much a mix of fingered! and super auto pets which i like both, tho one thing i have a grudge against is the lack of strategies outside of dictator + twins, yeah there is jocky and the person that gives money, but even then, you won't usually spend that much money each turn.
still, a very cute game, and had a big of funnies while playing
This is great! I know it's based on auto-battlers, but it ends up feeling like a sort of dynamic logic puzzle game. I managed to get 10 votes to win the final challenge, which was pretty satisfying. The amount of polish here is impressive, especially considering it was made in a single weekend!
Great game! Oozes personality and I enjoyed trying to figure out how to stack the jury. My only complaint is that the game is very RNG dependent. With only 4 dollars to play with per round, you sometimes don't really get a chance to fight back if you're given a bad starting lineup. It's also very snowball-y because of this. If you get lucky with good jurors in the first round or two, you can save up lots of money for later rounds, but if you get bad jurors you spend all of your money trying to play catch up. Overall, wonderful game. Really well done!

A most excellent game!

can you run doom on it
Not realistic that the Misanthrope being placed alone would vote "Innocent" )
(considering that by default in your game jurors don't know defendants' cases , just got paid for a vote which is always expected from them ))
Nice! Easy gameplay and very additive, really enjoyed it!
Great game and you should be proud of the amount of work that you got done in 48 hours.
I LOVE that you put a way to speed up results, wish more games did that.
Excited to see more of you!

A+ really well done!
You put my thoughts into words very well!
I would love this to be spun into a mobile game as well that would be epic.
If this man wanted to, he could make it multiplayer and everyone could screw eachother over.
It was addicting, but the Assassination was a bit too annoying.
I really enjoyed this game! It was kinda wholesome at times.

T-T

Another banger from Daniel#JusticeForPigeon
Great game! loved the twist on the final trial, but found it a little too easy with help from inscryption's twins.
one fix you could add: there's a minor typo in the end game blurb, "we've come to the end of the story" is missing the word end.
Is this your first Daniel Mullins game? Because generally typos aren't mistakes.
Another banger. A+
This was so much fun, getting the hang of it has the same satisfaction that Inscryption does. The Mickey trial was SO good. 😭
Wow that was so cool. Loved that third defendant, didn't expect it and spilled my coffee X)
The game is incredibly fun, i wouldn't mind an "extended" version with more mechanics and things to do... or twists. You know, like Inscryption did.

Well Inscryption also started as just a game jam game. The twists mostly came in the final product!
Yes, that was what I was saying. This is incredible as a game jam game, but a further developed and fuller game (of course with some variations on the road to not make it repetitive), would also be nice

Nice game! I love the art style and game mechanics.
But there are some issues like how there are not many strategies in the game. I think it's more like a puzzle game than an auto-battler game.
I also understand that this is created in 48 hours so it is impressive how polish and clean this game is. I hope you expand this idea to the future.
PS. I have fun playing it. Thank!

i killed a pigeon
Great game, i love it (i killed a pigeon)
I don't know how I can live with myself knowing I may have condemned an innocent pigeon to death
Very cool! Poor pigeon... but fuck Mickey xD
not that it matters, but i'm curious why Unity 2021.2 and not a 2022 version. Is there a specific licensing reason?

I have a desire to feed and shelter that pigeon.
