Really cool idea with a great art style. However, I wish the levels were a bit more challenging and required more strategic thinking about jury selection and hiring choices. Right now, there's no real incentive to hire anyone beyond the same three or four characters each time. Plus, since you don’t keep the money between trials, there's no reason not to blow through your funds, especially in the later trials. The Aristocrat never really becomes a good investment either, because by the time you recoup the money spent on hiring them, you’re usually on the final trial.
I disagree about the Aristocrat, I find it to be an excellent pick. Taken in the first round it nets you $2 profit, second round $1 profit, third round free, and in 4th round it's effectively a $1 purchase. However the real key that makes it worth it is that it's a useful target for interaction with other characters. Not only can it be a target for "flip to guilty" it can soak up a "flip to innocent", it can set up a contrarian, it can be targeted with "repeat that effect", and more. There's great utility in a "free" character to shuffle around.
Aside from that, I game the game is cool and way too short. I've won trials ending with $18 dollars in profit, or even 17(!) innocent votes on the final round (two aristocrat, two twins, two sheriff, a jockey, with aristocrats fueling quite a few store refresh), but the game runs hollow quickly because no progress carries over from trial to trial. Tons of potential to expand the game there.
Super fun and very polished! Loved the sounds and style! Unpopular opinion but I liked the fact that the last level was easier, it felt as if you had already built the ways as a dark prosecutor to manipulate the result easily, like there was no chance to lose your trial from the start.
level 1- ez, level 2- ignore, just get as many guilty as possible with pushovers and stuff, level 3- dictator exists. level 4- get twins and sherrifs. overall, very good game!
Played through the whole game, super fun, great audio/visual presentation, the second level was way harder than the rest and felt a bit extreme, but I just got good and beat it anyways. Nice job!
I had so much fub with this game! I feel silly not knowing I could I so many jurors' on the stand, lol. Great game! Thanks for sharing your work with us!
I made a video of my playthrough if anyone would like to see:
Thank you Daniel for the game, i really enjoyed it!
(spoilers)However the final trial was insanely easy, my first thought on how to make it more difficult is to add effects from previous trials to be hanged on the final one, like one of jurors die, and the ones that hate you appear
Well, I really enjoyed that game! A play session of only twenty minutes and I was immersed immediately, the art, the presentation, even the tutorial was super professional, everything was first class! I certainly favoured some juror types over others (spamming pushovers was my key to victory!) but I'll definitely replay to try out other strategies. Each trial having its own unique challenge was such a lovely touch, I can't believe all of this was produced in 2 days! Well done to you, great job!
What All References Did You Catch, I Personally Only Noticed The Mycologists, Maybe The Skeleton Is Also A Reference But Its A Bit Too generic For Me To Consider It To be One?
The game seems interesting, but I'm having some weird issue with the screen sizing. Whether in full screen or not the game is bigger than my screen, and I can't figure out how to resize it
hey i played this game several times and i'd love to see an unlimited version of this game because it's so fun to play. It's one of the best games here in my opinion
Whew, that was intense but fun! I got lucky and won each case the first time (or I'm a genius lol) but I did lose one round against the second dude. This is a hysterical game that's put together well enough to be a small Switch indie game or something already 🙌

good to have some irish representation in games
The controls are so intuitive. I was able to pick them up quickly and focus on the fun.
I had A TON OF FUN with this game! Check out my video @ Nostromo_Gaming:

Good game, but levels to easy, only one level that make me thinking hard is Mickey Mouse. But very interesting idea anyway

Anyway, really cool!
loved the sound design, not that anything else was bad, I just focus on sound.
WHAT DID I DO TO THAT PIDGEON
very good game, was fun, even if a bit easy heh
Absolutely amazing and deserved - fantastic entry. Polished, fun, hilarious - 10/10

good game. something i'd change is to have the sheriff make the person next to them repeat their "after voting" effect, not what their vote is.
(probably should also make it so that the effect doesn't work for sheriff to make it slightly more balanced)
edit: i should mention that i never saw the jockey ingame before writing this comment
Loved it, awesome! I really hope to see more of this in the future 😄
Wonderful, love the concept!
GRET GAME. sHOUD BE LONGER.
is it safe to play

same here
Funny game for jam-game. The mechanic is interesting and simple, so new players will understand it fast.
Won the last case by a 12/7 margin, easy. I wonder who the shadowy figure was the entire time though. mhm...
I won with a 17/7. Jockey is crazy good.
I won with a 10/7 margin

this game is WOW! I love how the game is, the graphic, the strategy, the END
good but short, a rouge-like mode would go a long way here
